Do I Diffuse, Apply or Ingest an Essential Oil?

I woke up this morning, peeked out my kitchen window to see the Santa Ana winds stirring up. UGH!   I’m one of those people of whom windy days set me on edge. Short of biting off my husband’s head for something he probably didn’t do, I chose to diffuse Peace and Calming essential oil blend to take that edge off.

Why did I diffuse that oil to get rid of my anxiety? Used aromatically essential oils have a wide-ranging effect on emotions and memory. 

Diffuse or inhale your essential oil when you are feeling moody, have brain fog  or want a good night’s sleep.   Diffusing also supports respiratory function.  

My after-shower morning routine includes Geraniumessential oil mixed with my natural lotion to soften my skin. Geranium has natural constituents that regenerate the skin. Whether you have dry skin, monthly breakouts or a bruise,  topical application supports the appearance of the skin. 

When you wish to support your immune system, balance your hormone level or make another systemic change Topical application supports that systemic change.


When essential oil is directly ingested quality matters. (this is why I ONLY USE Young Living with their Seed to Seal promise) There is an extensive list of essential oils that are generally recognized as safe (GRAS) for consumption by the FDA. Young Living has a specific line for ingesting, Vitality.  These essential oils can be used as a flavoring for foods and beverages or ingested in a capsule. Take essential oils by mouth when you need total body wellness support.

A couple of essential oils that I ingest in a capsule are DiGize (digestive support) and Oregano (antibacterial).   Lemon or Grapefruit essential oils are wonderful to flavor your water plus they support the wellness of your body.

Aromatic, Topical Application and Ingesting essential oils are all wonderful ways to support the over-all wellness of your body.
