What’s the big deal about Essential Oils? It’s difficult to answer that question without going a bit into what wellness is.
If I were to ask someone on the street, their definition of health & wellness, it would most likely be something like “Being healthy means I’m not sick, I don’t have some type of chronic condition and I take pretty good care of the body. I feel pretty well most of the time, so I’m healthy.”
If that definition were true, then each of us would be without that chronic or temporary disease, yet still lack the drive to get out of bed to live life to its fullest.

According to The World Health Organization, “Wellness is a state of complete 1. Physical, 2. Mental/(Emotional), and 3. Social/(Spiritual) well-being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.” (I added a couple of words in parentheses to elaborate a bit.)
Before we go into how essential oils support each of these 3 categories let’s do a short science lesson on how essential oils work:
Essential oils are concentrated plant extracts that retain the natural aroma and essence of their source plant. Think of a rose, then picture 400 pounds of rose petals being steam distilled into a 5 ml bottle of pure rose essential oil. That’s concentrated!
Each essential oil has an exclusive structure of natural chemical constituents that makes it unique to how it functions within the body. This is why therapeutic grade lavender essential oil calms and peppermint essential oil energizes.
These constituents work collectively to correct your body and wellness level.
Back to our definition of wellness. Wellness is a state of complete physical, emotional, and social well-being. What’s the big deal about Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils? They support each one of the three categories, thus supporting our body holistically or in its entirety.
