This picture shows just how we do NOT want to feel!!
Two weeks ago a virus made its way through our family BUT it stopped at me. Why – I had *healthy habits in place.
We all know a healthy immune system helps us fight off colds and flu. The immune system is the first line of defense of our body against an alien microorganism entering the body. The stronger your immune system, the lesser would be the chance of you falling ill.
What simple ways can you protect yourself this cold and flu season?

Keep Your Stress Level in Check: Chronic stress suppresses the immune response of the body by releasing the hormone cortisol. Cortisol interferes with the T-cells(a specific white blood cell) to reproduce and receive signals from the body. Cortisol also reduces the antibody secretory IgA, which lines the gut and respiratory tract, which are our first line of defense against pathogens. Practice relaxation techniques, Diffuse Peace & Calming, Take up yoga.
Make Sure You Get your Anti-oxidants: Antioxidants are molecules that neutralize free radicals, unstable molecules that can harm your cells. Too many free radicals in your system can prevent your immune system from working properly. Eat the Rainbow, Take 1 -2 oz of Ningxia Red daily. = Whole Body Wellness.
Exercise: Regular exercise mobilizes the T cells, a type of white blood cell which guards the body against infection. Work out on a regular basis. (Don’t overdo it though – excessive exercise can actually lower your immune system.) Listen to your body.
Get Enough Sleep:
You say I don’t have time to sleep. Think of it this way, when you become ill all you do is sleep, so you’re sleeping anyway, just when you are ill. Schedule your bedtime hour, Say no! Make your bedroom a sanctuary that is cool, pleasant smelling and no TV or Social Media. Diffuse a blend of 2 drops Vetiver, Lavender and Cedarwood Essential oils.
Herbal Supplements: Herbs like Echinacea and Elderberry can help reduce the duration and severity of illness. Plus gives the body and immunity boost. FREE Elderberry Syrup Recipe
Wash your hands: How often do you shake someone’s hands during the day and then scratch your nose or eyes? = Germs. My fave is the Thieves Hand Purifier. It’s a plant-based, non-drying hand purifier. It’s always in my purse!
*My Healthy Habits: My daily regimen includes Ningxia Red, Thieves Essential Oil, Inner Defense soft gels, plus Super C tablets and Life 9 capsules. Praise God for Young Living and the healthy habits I have in place. Start your healthy lifestyle here or Email me and I’ll get back to you:)
