Clearing the Air

When I ask; “have you cleared the air between you and your husband?” you know exactly what I mean. You had a disagreement or there is something that needs resolved.  Clearing the air re-establishes your lines of communication.

Have you ever considered clearing the air with the Holy God of the universe?   Yesterday;  did you become worried because you’re unsure you’ll have enough money to pay your bills?  Did you have a disagreement with your spouse, child or parent? In times of need such as these, did you run to God for His help?   But did you think to clear the air before you ran to Him for help?

In these circumstances  your passions or sin got the best of you. You worried – I need money now and I don’t have it.  Your point of view did not match someone else’s.   James 4: 3 says; You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions.

Before you ask God for His help, clear the air to re-establish your line of  communication with Him. Confess your sin, (worry, anger, frustration etc.) to the person you sinned against and then to your Creator,  who understands you.

1 John 1:9 says: If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

With the air cleared, your communication channel is open.  Ask God how He wants you to solve your problems.  John 16:24 says; Until now you have asked nothing in My Name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.

With  the air cleared between you and God, may your joy be full and may you glorify Him.

Love in Christ,

Deb
